Sydney Saturday Sunrise

Sunrise over the north west of Sydney.

Nikon D600 with Nikkor 200-500mm f/5.6 @ 500mm.

Moon and Jupiter

I took this quick photo on NYE (or maybe very early Jan 1st), handheld.

Not bad I thought for handheld- Nikon D600 and Nikkor 200-500mm lens.

Five Planets

A quick snap of four planets at once - Jupiter (top left), Mars (middle), Saturn and then Venus (bottom right). Mercury hadn't risen yet, but when it had I couldn't see it in the bright pre-dawn light on the horizon.

I didn't wake up early enough to make the trip into town to get something interesting like the Sydney Opera House, so you're stuck with me holding a torch instead.

My first attempt at a time-lapse using a GoPro: Pyrmont, Sydney.

My second attempt - again in Pyrmont looking towards the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

My third time-lapse - yes, again in Pyrmont (it's where my work office used to be so I could setup my GoPro connected to power for a few hours and not worry about it being stolen!)

Sunrise over the ocean at Maroubra, Sydney.

The last time-lapse I've done for now - from Millers Point on the northern side of Sydney Harbour, looking back at the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge.
